Skin Care Tips
When dealing with dark spots, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and daily skin care, you should know that there are a few things that need to be added to your beauty routine, to help lessen the appearance of your marks and improve the quality of your skin.
Wear sunscreen: If you are attempting to fade spots, no matter what product you use, you need to use sunscreen as just a little amount of time in the sun will undo and hinder your progress. Use a oil free sunscreen with a decent amount of SPF.
Reapply sunscreen: If you are not use to wearing sunscreen then this might be annoying to have to do, but the sun definitely is damaging to the skin when not properly guarded. Reapplying your sun screen every 2 hours is key.
Exfoliate dead skin: Removing dead skin is beneficial to improving your overall skin’s appearance. Remember not to over exfoliate as that can cause your skin to breakout. Exfoliation helps to remove dead skin and product build up.
Avoid popping pimples: This can be so difficult for so many as it is a hard habit to break. But this is counter productive to your ultimate goal of having even skin.
Avoid makeup that clogs pores: You want to only apply products that are non-comedogenic and that does not clog your pores. Certain ingredients can clog pores and breed more bacteria that causes to get trapped in your pores.
Remove makeup every time: You have to be very religious about removing your makeup, as a lot of brands have chemicals that will clog your pores. There are natural makeup removers that help to unclog pores.
Keep skin nourished: You have to drink water in order to provide your skin with the moisture it needs to help create new skin cells.
Be patient: It takes a minimum of 6 weeks for a new layer of skin to form. Minimizing dark spots is not a quick process. It takes patience to fade spots, as using natural products is a long term routine that takes time.
